2004 Lincoln LS, V6. When the a/c is turned on and temperature outside is hot it blows cold air on the drivers side and very hot air on the passengers side. Conversly, when a/c is off and temperature control is set on a high position it blows hot air to the driver and cold air to the passenger. I had this car in the dealer several times before the warranty ran out, it would work ok for a while, then start doing the same thing. Anyone have any ideas on how to get the same temperature air coming out both outlets as needed?
What have done at the dealer before and works you should have bills should be an explanation.

it is down under the intake manifold. the intake manifold must be removed to get to it. this vehicle is known for developing a vacum leak in the elbow hose that connects to pcv valve, so ive done a few.

The problem is most likely a bad dual climate control valve. This component is located on the right side near the radiator under the hood. It will have several coolant hoses hooked to it and 2 silver cylinders protruding from it. You can clamp off the heater hoses at the heater core and see if both sides cool then and this will tell you that the valve is letting coolant thru when it shouldn't be.
This will narrow it down to either the valve or the control head inside the car,or wiring in between them. The only way to narrow it down further is if you have a scan tool that could access the climate control data. Have seen several of these valves cause this concern and have only seen one control head cause it.

The message means the electric park brake needs serviced. In this case I feel that considering the ac problem, the Coolant Control Valve is defective. The valve can create RF interference that messes with the electronics of the park brake system. The Coolant Control Valve is located at the right side bottom of the radiator fan shroud and has 3 heater hoses connected to it.
