Reset computer on 2003 silverado - Silverado 2500HD Chevrolet Cars & Trucks

shrink tube the wire and make sure its making connection also disconnect positive battery cable wait about 10 15 seconds and allow computer to reset to factory defaults check your ecm fuse too

Same problem, same fix. Apparently something was reset when I removed the fuse.

turn key on and pat gas three times within 5 seconds and light should blink. cut key off and crank vehicle light should be out if not try it again.

Installing a new battery does not require you to reset the computer. I think this is just a coincidence and has noting to do with you replacing the battery unless you accidentally disconnected some wire. If it is stalling the Check Engine light should be on. Have the ECU scanned and see what code comes up and what it points you to. It will tell you what part is being effected but not necessarily what part is bad.

If you disconnected the battery,the computer loss it`s memory,it will have to be reflashed at the dealer.

undew ground on battery for 5 minutes let computer reset itself and try.its a free diagnostic.usually they do this when intake or head gaskets are gone.yours might just be a comp glitch.

Turn the ignition key to the RUN position. Fully push and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. If the CHANGE OIL SOON light flashes 2 times, the system is reset. However if the light comes on and stays on for 5 seconds, the system did not reset. Repeat the procedure if the system does not reset.

have you reset the computer after replacing those parts? even if the part is new it will still pop up the error until you clear the eprom
