Small leak where the p.s. hose connects to the power steering pum

2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 V-8
There is a small leak developed where the p.s. hose connects to the pump. There apears to be a push on and lock type of connection where the hose connects to the p.s. pump. Is there an "O" ring seal or other type of seal that can be replaced? If so, what would be the procedure?

Power steering pump still leaks after replacing the resivoir. It leaks where the hose connects.

Check the O'ring for not being cut. When ok and fastening the nut doesn't help, you will need a new hose.

Power steering fluid leaking 2000 jeep gran cherokee laredo 4.0 liter 6 cylinder

Possibly a bad P.S. hose, or maybe a loose hose connection. Close inspection is the only way to find the leak.

Park does not work. and the power steering fluid is draining out.

That body style of Grand Cherokee usually developed a leaking lower steering gearbox seal. The seal alone can be replaced to stop the fluid leak. As to why 'park does not work' I don't fully understand that question.

1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee. power stearing leaks

Many times if it's a small leak, a good product such as Lucas steering sealer will help. Don't expect the leak to stop immediately though as the seals take time to swell. If the leak is from a hose, the only way to fix it is by replacement. There is a lot of pressure in there and anything else will not work.
If the seal leak is large, additive may slow it down but that too would need replacement.

O ring is leaking from power steering pressure hose

I had the same problem. You can not replace that o ring. You have to replace the complete hose ***. They redesigned the hose to fix that common problem. To bad the customer has to pay to replace a poorly designed part.

2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee leaking coolant and power steering fluid

Just a heads up, $10 bucks will buy you a seal kit for the P.S. pump. I topped mine off for a couple months, then the oring on the high pressure line (from pump, front center) blew and dumped the reservoir in a matter of miles.

The line can be a stinker to get off, recommend driving the car for a few minutes to heat up the pump a little. Don't forget the 20MM wrench.
