Hello, I have a 2008 Chevy Malibu 1LT (4-cyl). The bushing that connects the wiper transmission to the wiper motor arm is broken. I have tried replacing it with generic bushing assortments, but nothing fits particularly well. The only one that was close has slipped off twice now. I cannot find any dealer or auto supply store in my area that can sell me the bushing by itself. Everyone wants to sell me the entire linkage transmission, which runs anywhere between 108 to 150 depending upon who I call. Can anyone suggest a way to purchase just the bushing by itself, instead of the entire transmission? Thanks, Shawn in Ypsilanti

Try Ebay for a used unit or possible bushing itself .

SOURCE: ever since i replaced the wiper motor on 2003

try this fix
remove wiper arms from where they connect on car
turn wiper moter on then off. turn ignition off
if wiper motor is good it should put spline in off position and now all you need to do is replace wiper arms in the correct position they would be in when wipers are turned off

I have a 2006 Malibu 2.2 4 coils miss on number 3

You may have a coil failure or spark plug failure on #3. Swap coil and plug of cyl#2 with cyl#3 and see if problem moves to cyl#2. If so, it will be a plug or coil. I wouls recommend changing both

I can't find the transmission fluid dipstick on my car.....

there is no dipstick, this is a sealed transmission, GM did this to stop owners from overfilling the trans, the fluid level must be checked by the dealer with a scan tool.

Malibu wipers problems

I suspect a retainer came loose from the arm to the wiper transmission, you will need to get at the wiper transmission and reattach the art to the pivot.
