Studders when accelerating from stop

I have a 1995 chevy silverado 1500 with a 350 and 4x4. i just replaced the fuel pump and yet it still studders when i go to take off from a stop and if i get on the gas. i thought it was the ignition module, i replaced it and it still does the same thing. its almost as if all eight cylenders misfire at the same time for a split second. it also does it when cruising with my foot barely on the gas, usually at 600 rpms and 1500rpm. any idea?

Same thing happens with my 95. I put some Gumz Out injector cleaner in it and it seemed to clear up after about 10 miles. Still bringing it in to have codes checked. Only about 10,000 miles on the new motor.

1995 chevy 1500 truck 5.7 stumbels at take off ,falls on its face when shifts to higher gear. back fires thru throttle body some times.

Replaced - 02sensor, EGR Valve, EGR Selinoid, Cap, rotor, plugs,

Fuel modulator on throttle body, fuel pump, fuel filter. no change

NOTE if I unplug the EGR vacum line from the EGR selinoid and plug it up the truck runs 50 % better but sill stumples and pops.

Any Ideas ? COuld it be a fuel regulator in the throttle body ?

hey, i hit a water hole in my truck one time and it would sputter and all that junk.. I replaced all the spark plugs just because.. but my problem was the distributor cap. I took it off and looked in it and it was getting some corrosion in it and all.. if you haven't changed it in a while go ahead and check that and see what it looks like

does check engine come or came on?if so,scan for code!if not check for bad spark plug wires or plugs, fuel pressure, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, dirty injectors!

I would take the throttle body off and look at the fuel pressure regulator spring they have a bad habit of breaking or getting weak and getting alot of sludge on the diaphram you can buy a regulator kit aftermarket if you need one.

2000 silverado will start but wont stay running just dies.

I also agree it sounds like a fuel pump issue. Its easiest to remove the box (6 bolts {need impact wrench} disconnect wires at plugs and disconnect gas filler hose) and lift box up. A hoist is easiest but 6 people can lift it easily. The fuel pump can easily then be replaced. Takes about 1 1/2 hrs. to do entire job this way and its so much easier!
Good Luck!

2002 Chevy Silverado starts but then sputters and stalls

change your fuel pump out (conveniently located in the fuel tank). i had the same problem on 1995 silverado and the problem is gone.

2000 chevy silverado 1500 4.3 eng

Chevy Trucks, Blazers, S10 pickup and the like will vapor lock ecspecially the 2000 models. Do not tighten the gas cap past 1 click. There is a tube that runs from the top of the tank down and this gets hot and collapses or burns in half. We just bought a reinforced rubber tube cut it to lengh and use it instead of part and it's worked grat for 2 years so far.
