Do you know where or if a 2000 Mazda 626 has a fuel pump cut off switch. According to the parts store it doesn't have a fuel pump relay. I have replaced the fuel pump and the car still won't crank. I am getting fire on the plug wire and the timing is on 11.

Hello, I am going to make a few assumptions here. The vehicle has an electric fuel pump and you replaced it. The vehicle has fuel injection. The engine is actually cranking, just not starting, when you say "car still won't crank". You are getting fire to the spark plugs at the plug ends. You checked the fuel pump for power at the pump. No power, then you back traced the wire to the fuse block and checked the fuse to see if it was blown. If the fuse is good back trace the power to the ignition switch and/or ECM for power. You have power at the pump, check the ground and make sure it is connected properly. Will the pump run when someone turns the key on? Pump runs, check fuel manifold for pressure. No pressure, check the fuel filter for blockage, or replace it. Fuel pump doesn't run, new replacement pump is defective. There is usually some type of control module for the fuel pump on fuel injected vehicles. Good Luck, RAC

Is there a fuel inertia cut off switch and where is it located?

Only Ford products use an inertia switch, and it only turns off in a wreck.
Have you checked the fuel pump relay to see if it is sending power to the pump ?

Where is the inertia switch located on a 2000 626 Mazda

You Mazda does not have an inertia switch like the fords do. The only things that control the fuel pump are the pcm, fuel pump relay, and the fuel pump fuse.

Where is the fuel pump reset button on a 1997

I doubt that there is a reset button. Fuel pump is controled by fuel pump relay which is controlled by ECU, which computes the needed fuel needed by the engine, based on inputs from many sensors on the engine. If you are having problems check with an auto parts store who may help you read the error codes and will sluggest needed parts.

Mazda 626

Hi Janieanip01,
Again we need more imfo....Is the vehicle injection?....If it is you'll have to wait until the fuel rail is re-pressurised before it will start....Crank it for about ten seconds at a time so as not to burn out the starter motor....It may be that the vehicle didn't run out of fuel but instead the pump may have given in....and when did you last replace the fuel fiter?
