This has timing belt?

have the alternator bench tested for correct out put. Check the drive belt tension as the alternator may be slipping under load

mitsubishi engine, you have to remove timing belt and crankshaft timing gear to get at the seal
they are known to leak

It has multiple belts, I hope this diagram puts you in the right direction.

I had the same problem with my 98 voyager that I bought used a year ago, my mechanic suggested to replace the serpentine belt due to visible wear, three days later, it fall off again, this time the mechanic, suggested replacing the belt tensioner, that fixed the problem for good.

Check to see if the crank sensor is still connected.

Check your power steering fluid. If low it whines and is related to engine speed.
