Replace drivers side window glass - 1998 Hyundai Tiburon

Remove inner door panel and remove the glass that is left in the window track. Apply glue and place new glass in track and give it plenty of time to dry and set. Then replace inner door panel after all is fine.

First get a new glass on the way, then YouTube window installation for your type of vehicle, seeing how window regulators are replaced might give you a partial idea towards replacement.

drivers window works with help, it pops and grits like glass rubbing steel. Took glass lose from carrier glass works free, but the cables make noise and move very slow befor kicking braker.

first these are easy to do,second look on ebay a-1 auto I think sells replacement for around $100 U.S
Take door panel off,there are several bolts in reg and 2 keepers on the window glass unhook the 2 keepers unplug the motor and turn unit and bring out the bottom of the doorthe window glass does NOT have to come out. it should only take less than an hour to do.

i would be suprise if they warranty that unless some mechanical part was the culprit price wise from 350 and up .pierre

Have you checked the window regulator. (electric window motor). I seems a comon problem for the plastic to break at the bottom where the wire which pulls the glass up and down. The motor will still sound (clunk) if you use the window switch but will not lift the window.

Remove the trim off the door.
Undo the bolts holding the glass into the plastic at the bottom of the window and carefully remove the glass.
Unbolt and remove the sliding piece that holds the glass.
You should find the broken plastic at the bottom.

Replace and reinstall. Aftermarket parts are available at a fraction of the cost of buying new nissan parts. Second hand parts are available but costly.

Pull out window crank and door handle, remove panel, remove plastic Nylon that's between metal and panel, crank the window down enough to see the arm and the part that connects with glass. Make sure the metal part inside the door that comes from an arm and attaches to glass is clean, from broken glass and the gap that attaches to window is clean,bend the new glass to make it fit inside the opening slide down the new glass from the top using opening guides, grave it from both sides standing in between and make land on top center of the part that graves the glass, put automotive glass silicone on center of that part,just at where graves the glass, let dry, put the plastic back the door panel the window crank with the "U" shaped lock washer and the door handle, I hope I was clear

The glass should bolt to the window channel on the bottom of the window. Roll the window all the way up and duct tape it to the top of the door.

the window regulator needs to be replaced. any parts store should have these as they break all the time
