I have a broken motor mount on a Toyota echo. What's the procedure to replace it?
It is not that Hard, you can use the Jack from your Car... Lift up a little on the Oil Pan with the Jack, you will see the engine Mount move. Once you have that pressure on, then you just take the center bolt and then the mount bolts. Install the new Mount and lower the jack.
YOU DO NOT WANT TO LIFT THE CAR, JUST GET WEIGHT OFF THE MOUNT
Testimonial: "Thank you very much! mission accomplished, problem solved. God bless :)"
Sounds simple but I have read that there is a big problem removing the mount once it is unbolted. I also read that installing the new motor mount is also nearly impossible. Can you or anyone else verify this? I see the mounts are available but I have only read two installation tips which includes yours.
It is VERY SIMPLE if you have some basic mechanical background. There are only 3 bolts holding it in place. The Center Bolt that comes out and separates the Mount from the Frame/Engine and then 2 mounting Bolts that holt it in place on each side. If you jack up the engine "JUST ENOUGH TO TAKE THE WEIGHT OFF THE MOUNT", not enough to lift the vehicle, you can do this in less than 30 minutes start to finish. There is no real trick needed and as you read above, it was easy for them to do...
Thanks for getting back to me so fast. I will give it a try and let everyone know how it went. Thanks for your time Todd.
Just remember that you ONLY want to take the Tension off the Mount, not life the Engine (or the Car).... You will be proud of yourself when you are done. Metric Bolts (17mm if I remember correctly)...
I am having problems with the rear engine mount too. The mount is loss, however, the engine bracket is in the way. I have tried to remove the bracket, but it is too difficult. Any suggestions?
Can you please help me too

SOURCE: How to....remove radio sepakers (rear) from a Toyota Echo??
It's really easy to remove the rear speakers. First, get in the trunk and find the 3 white anchors for the rear deck-they're near the rods for the trunk mechanism. Push them through the metal frame to free the deck. Next, you have to get in the back seat and remove the stop light from the deck. To do this, push in the pins on the locking mechanisms on either side of the light to free the back casing. Pull the pins out and the casing off. Next, undo the two bolts holding the stop light in place and pull it off-don't forget to undo the wiring harness. Next, find the three anchoring points for the back seat. Gently lift the two side ones free of their anchors. This gives you access underneath the deck. Free the deck and gently lift it over the seat. You'll have to jimmy it a little to get the locking clamps free--they're all along the back of the deck. Pull it free and you have access to the speakers. I believe the factory speakers are 5 1/4 inches
Try to use Toyota speaker adapter plugs so you don't need to cut wires and mess the electric system up. You can get them from Ebay or Amazon.
cheers
SOURCE: In 2002 Toyota Echo, I need to replace blower
blower switch is your fan knob on dash. resistors are located under pass side dash next to blower motor. on alot of cars the blower will work on high speed and not the lower ones- this is a tell tale way to tell the resistor is no good. if this happens again after replacing resistor- ive seen the blower motor shorting out causing the resistor to go bad- then you would have to replace both.(this usually dosnt happen, most often the resistor alone fixes the problem..
