1989 buick regal v6 3.1 runs fine then dies like its out of gas. fuel pump working great and the car starts back up any ideas what could be wrong?

Sounds like a bad crank sensor. I had a 93 electra did the same thing. Drove me nuts, but that is what fixed it.
Ya could be a bad filter. or maybe your injectors are getting bad.

When was the last time the fuel filter was chg.?
Check the fuel injectors, resistance should be around 12. You can at least check two. Mine on the end was bad, it read 7. then I knew I had to remove manifold to check and replace the bad ones. I only had two bad but since I was there I changed them all. To bad I put in a new fuel pump first. ouch.
it seems its been a while , but why cant i hear the fuel pump
