I have a #2 cylinder misfire and car is running rough. Check engine light comes on and after a while it starts to flash. I changed the plugs and cleaned the boots. There are no wires, the problem is still there. How can I check the coil pack. What is the firing order of the cylinders.
Swap the coil pack from the other side of the engine and see if your misfire moves to cylinder 1

catalytic converter is the issue then. if your catalytic converter has a leak, meaning theres a leak on fuel too which was not burned-out thouroughly sometimes cause fire at the exhaust.... spark plugs needed. or if not distributor cap before rotor.

DO SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES CHANGE IF NOT HAVE DONE TUNE UP IN A LONG WHILE. CLEAN FUEL INJECTORS.CLOGGED FUEL INJECTORS WILL CAUSE CYLINDER MISFIRE ALSO.
