SOURCE: i am planning to buy a nissan maxima.but the

This wouldn't make the tranny slip. It is making abs kick on when it shouldn't. there is a faulty in the system, most likely abs system causing this. It should be broughten to dealer honestly and I am a mechanic tell you this. It may be bad pump or circuit. I would pull the abs fuse that is in the fuse center under hood most likely. This will prevent abs from locking up on your or quit working on you. Until you get it repaired

SOURCE: my 2002 maxima has the abs, slip., and tcs lights

could be a bad abs sensor on one of the wheels, or it just might be covered with alot of dirt, unable to get a good reading. Also if you replaced anything suspension, breaks, or axle related recently, someone might have messed up the wiring

SOURCE: my tcs and slip light

It could be caused by the sensors. On your wheels there should be sensors found which can be identified by the wiring to it. It may need cleaning or faulty.

I have the code p0340 for slip n tcs is telling me is a sensor but it show2

I am not sure what "slip n tcs" means but on the 2005 nissan maxima the code P0340 is for the camshaft position sensor circit on bank 1, which is in the rear of the engine compartment. Code P0345 is for camshaft position on bank 2, which is in the front of the engine compartment. The images show the Cyl banks and a cam sensor.6_29_2012_3_38_07_am.gif6_29_2012_3_40_48_am.gif

I am planning to buy a nissan maxima.but the seller said the ABS.TCS and slip lights are on which is making the tranny to slip a bit. is this true. 1. why would the tranny slip? 2. why also are those...

can be an expensive problem the abs and tcs module under the hood is probably going bad the tranny slipping is probably what is causing the othe lights to come on. the tcs stands for traction control system if it feels a slip in the tranny like on a gravel road or wet road it assists the vehicle into getting better traction.

As for trouble codes, and the dealers recommendation. They are true and accurate, although I would get a second opinion from another auto shop other than the dealer. Do not disclose what you already know other than the problems you are expriencing.
