A red car shaped light flashing on the dashboard cannot get into the car

As far as the red light goes. You simply have a brake light bulb out.
The clicking is normal. Its the shift lock solenoid. When you press on the brake it lets you shift into gear.

I'm going to guess at this but odds are I'm right...The light is connected to the vacuum at the intake manifold. When vacuum is high, it can be considered that engine is working in the most ECOnomical setting. If you mash down on the gas, or go uphill with some additional throttle application, vacuum drops because the engine is working harder (less economical) then, the light will go out, 'till conditions have changed (like going downhill). If you were to put a vacuum gauge on the engine you would be able to see the correlation. On or off, the light isn't telling you that there is anything wrong with the engine (unless it fails to come on ever, in which case you may have a vacuum hose disconnected on the engine somewhere)

I'm assuming that you are referring to a 2006 Altima since you have it pictured the only car on the dash is for open trunk.
