Question about 1995 Toyota Avalon
My car is a 1995 Toyota Avalon... The radio does not work at all. All it says is SEC!!! I looked in the manual and did what it said and still nothing. Does anyone have an answer for me??
The sec displayed is security code in case radio is stolen it cant be used without entering the code. Owner may have disconnected battery and didnt put a memory saver in lighter outlet so it locked. If you go to dealer they can retrive the code for you then you enter code and radio should work.unless they changed the factory code. If not and code from dealer works keep in car or safe place so you have it. Usually no charge to do retrival at dealer takes 2 minutes. Hope this helps

Go into Toyota and take your registration with some form of Picture ID and for a fee they will be able to get you the code for that radio. Good Luck

If you are using "home-made" or "burnt" CDs, this can happen. Sometimes, you can remove the radio from the dash, and unplug it. That may reset the CD player, and the discs will eject.
It works for me about 85% of the time. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: 1997 Avalon radio theft problem
Some dealers put the radio's antitheft code in the owners manual. If it's not there call your local dealer and they can reset the code for a fee.
