P0442 is a small leak somewhere in the emmission system, check the vacuum lines, or have a smoke test done, to find the leak.

1999 Volvo V70 with Code P1004?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to model category.

This is a strange code that doesn't appear to have one definitive reason, it's a bit of "you have a bit of a problem, but we aren't sure". Just Answer dot com mechanic says it is the MAF Sensor.

An update on my 2000 Volvo s80T6. The fluid level is perfect and the fluid looks and smells brand new. When I shifted the sequential shift into third, the car will drive forward just fine. Reverse

The T6 is notorious for trans problems. I suggest you seek out a reputable trans shop with FULL knowledge of this gearbox as it may be manufactured by GM, it is made to Volvo Specs.

2003 volvo s80t6 misfire and check engine lights

I would try the simplest solution first, while at idle pull spark plug wire off each one at a time. When you pull a wire and the motor slows or dies, that wire and plug are good. If you pull one off and nothing in the way the motor runs changes, the plug or wire is defective.

Car will not go when you press the excelerator until the engine warms up a little bit. Two codes came up P0442 and misfire.

P0442 Means you have a leak in your EVAP system.
The EVAP system prevents gas vapors from entering the air .
This code can be set by a leak in the lines or a clogged charcoal canister.
Most common reason is If you did not put your gas cap on all the way.
As of the misfire was it a random Code p0300 or did It state which cyilender like P0301

Hope this helps

Oil in the water

It is probably transmission fluid coming in from the trans cooler in the radiator. I would suspect it needs a new radiator.
