My 2002 cougar is at 110,000 miles and won't start. i'm wondering what might be some of the issues i could look into besides my 110,000 mile service. the ignition turn over but still won't start so i've ruled out my battery as being an issue. had oil /filter change done at 108,000 miles.

One thing to check is if the fuel pump is working and what the fuel pressure is. The pump is inside the fuel tank. The pressure must be 35 to 65 psi. The pump can be working but if the pressure is not enough the car will not start.

i had the same problem i replaced the fuel pump now it will start but not with the key only by bypass. if i turn the key over it does nothing no clickin or nything i have to bypass the key and start it with the spare wire. any solution?
I had the same problem on my 1999 Cougar. Check your codes and most likley what ever it says it needs to be replaced. I had to change the main fuse to the engine. It located in the front next to the battery
