Isuzi trooper jerking when driving also starting to get hard to start could it be the diesel pump

    already changed filters and new injectors new turbo new heater plugs and still jerking will try fuel additive and get back to you thanks for your help

Hello, it is possible that the pump is going bad but, it sounds more like water in the fuel or a dirty filter or dirty injectors. I would try a fuel additive first to see if that will clear your problem. Let me know if you need any help. Good luck.

what is year of the vehicle ? if post 1996 have the OBD2 codes read to give you an indication of what the problem could be , Without seeing the vehicle i'd consider getting the diesel pump timing checked , also cylinder compressions, hope this gives you a starting point

1998 isuzu bighorn diesel starts and shuts off without any warning while driving.
If you got the 3.0 i'd say its the rail oil pressure sensor goin west .
If its the 3.1 check your shut off solenoid on the fuel injection pump as they can fai,l stop the engine then be ok next time you start up .

Where is the transmission fill plug located on a isuzi trooper
On the transmission pan. Lower one is a drain the upper one is the fill level plug. Crank up the engine and let it idle for 3 minutes. Then remove the upper plug, if none comes out squirt some in if some comes out let it drain until it stops. This is the upper plug, not the lower one.
