Wipers on 2002 Trailblazer wont shut off. I have to pull the fuse to shut them off. I called Chevy and I don't have any open recalls against the Trailblazer. Please help Thanks Mike V.

no- no recall on the fuel tank that cracks at the filler neck the following link are complaints about fuel tank that are recieved if you go to home page and enter trailblazer they give you the break down of the whole series of model and complaints as well as recall information they also list the TSB technical service bulletins 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer Crack In Fuel Tank
Must be in the multi-function switch that controls the washers and wipers. These are 2 different circuits that the only thing in common is the switch. This will take some special tools to replace. Might want to take it somewhere for this operation.

Motor relay circuit this is for the ABS, you will need ot restore the third eye brake light and check fuse in the engine junction fuse box, (cigarette lighter fuse) make sure it didnt open

Summary
CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES HAVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEMS THAT WILL NOT TURN ON, CEASE OPERATION WHILE IN USE, FAIL TO TURN OFF/ON BY THEMSELVES (MOISTURE SENSITIVE WIPER SYSTEM), OR HAVE CONTINUOUS WINDSHIELD WASHER PUMP OPERATION BECAUSE THE PRESENCE OF WATER WITHIN THE WIPER MODULES CAN EITHER CAUSE A SHORT CIRCUIT OR CAN LEAD TO THE CORROSION OF COMPONENTS WITHIN THE MODULE.
Consequence
DEPENDING ON THE OCCURRENCE AND WEATHER SITUATION, DRIVER VISIBILITY COULD BE REDUCED, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH. RemedyDEALERS WILL COVER THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MODULE VENT HOLE WITH A PATCH.
