Hi - You must check injectors - probably they start leak . Its mostly visable when engine work heavy

    error codes are as follows P1119 Inlet Metering Valve Control Malfunction P1120 Inlet Metering Valve Malfunction.I am leaning towards a low pressure side of main fuel pump problem?

After gasket change many engines are not directly start.. I suggest to pull and tow with second car and small truck.. And remember breaking system not fully working in engine off.. When car reached approximate 20-30 KMP speed press clutch 2nd gear to awake the engine with self..enjoy.. And sorry to my english..

2005 terracan, , I have 3 codes which were recently read off the diagnostic tool, p0100..EGR,p1119,inlet metering and p0710,
P710 is a Transmission fluid temperature sensor fault. Can be low or dirty fluid , stuck cooling system on transmission , damage on circuit of sensor or sensor .
P100 its a MAS/MAF problem - maybe fix that a cleaning sensor by brake cleaner or special spray . if not maybe You need change this part. With EGR - this valve in diesel motors sometimes is just dirty and stuck from carbon and other junk - check a movement on this and shape of valve .Also electrical motor on this valve can be broken then will not cheap repair...Hope is not:)
Inlet metering is conected probably with MAS/MAF- fix this first

Yes i have worked on these vehicles but never come across this before ,check the glow plugs and the relay to check their all working which i suspect that either the relay/timer is faulty or all 4 glow plugs are gone ,failing which you may need to return the vehicle to the dealer to have the computer re-flashed but i suspect a faulty timer relay or on a 2003 vehicle all four glow plugs are burnt out ,not difficult to change though as their on the top of the engine

My Terracan normally starts on the 2 nd turn of the engine. All of a sudden the engine just turned without starting at all. I waited till the next morning and tried again. It start immediately. I let it...
That code would have been "camshaft position sensor". They may have replaced the old one with a faulty new one, which might account for the blown fuses. Have them try unplugging it to see if it stops blowing fuses. If it does... have them replace that sensor again with another new one.

The replacement they used MIGHT not have even been NEW - it might have been salvaged from another vehicle... or they might have used the wrong one for your Terracan. How much do you trust that shop? You might have the Terracan towed to a different shop if you're not pretty confident about their competence.

Comon problem - first - check injectors - they can overleak -second - pressure on pomp too low- damage inside from bad fuel - this is extremal but hapend .

P1120 Electric Governor - Malfunction this was the fault which came up on the tester. How can this be fixed do I need a new pump?
With this code I has contact many times - mostly solutions woz change injectors . If this not help then can be problem with wornout pomp - cost a fortune :(

2006 2.9 turbo diesel will not start fault codes P1119 P1120 P1640 check engine light stays on cannot locate main relay & computer position any suggestions
dear friend-it is very difficult to explain myself in a text. I would say ignore the fault codes at hand for a while untill we have a definate fault. I would like you to make sure that the battery is fully charged, when you carry out the next exercise. I want you to try and start it with quick start, but please do not crank to long, gentle squirts will do it. If no joy, then we must go live chat- I am sure it will work, but please come back to me
