If you have changed the distributor cap, rotor button, spark plug wires and plugs and you still dont have fire then its most likely your distributor.first check the fuses or relays if you have replaced those items.

hey sounds to me like it's the alternator see when the alternator is not working properly the main source of direct energy comes from the battery and when that runs out it makes your car die . then it might turn on again but it does not last. u shuld have you alternator checked to make sure if not ask me again..

Sounds like you have bad circuit somewhere.
Open the hood and clean up some ground wires.

Hi Ian,
Take the vehicle and have a scan carried out. It sounds as if the transmission over heated and maybe there could be a problem with the lighting system of the trailer. A scan will tell you the problem areas and what needs attending to.
How about a rating?

This relay is located behind the dashboard's lower cover. It consists of two individual relays. One is energized whenever the ignition is ON , thus supplying battery voltage to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). This relay also supplies voltage to the fuel injectors, and power to the second relay. The second relay is energized for two seconds, when the engine is turned ON , to power the fuel pump.

Testing
If the engine starts and continues to run, the PGM-FI relay is working and does not need to be replaced.
