On what? Front or rear? You will have to evacuate the AC system using a recovery machine. Most evaporator cores are labor intensive involving the entire dash assembly of the vehicle to be removed for access/replacement. Not a job for anyone who does not have mechanical experience in Ac repairs

I hate to tell you this but you need to have an accredited shop do the work on that it is very complicated if that is actually the problem there's a valve on the outside that usually plugs up and it is replaceable valve I would take it to an air-conditioning shop have them give you an estimate it's very expensive because the dash does have to be removed in most cases

Yes First remove glove box and lower hush panel the fan motor is in its own separate housing usually held on by 4 12mm nuts it is a trick to get it out from under the dash some times you have to remove the floor carpet.

Floorboard is wet because the drain from the A/C Evaporator is plugged up with "gunk" Need to find the drain and clean it out.
For a 2008 the Battery has used up it's 60 month life and you need a new one

Well, the evaporator is located behind the console and dashboard, and requires a complete disassembly of the dash board area.

It's possible for one technician to do it, but the last time I saw one done was at my local a/c garage. They were working on the city's vehicle, and it was a Dodge Dakota, late model.

It had the same problem as yours, a leaky evaporator.

They had about 30 hours into it at $50 per hour. The evaporator
was cheap, but the labor to change it is not.

that is normal for bmw to remove the dashboard when replace the cooling coil. just the prob is when resetup the dashboard sometime some electronic function will be lost cause of poor connection.
so makesure the expert do the jobs. tq

your bearing failed and is causeing friction replace motor

readthe owners manual and it will tell u what it means
