What's the torque on head bolts for a 2004 Volvo s40

Cylinder head bolts (D4192T2):

Cylinder head bolts are tightened in two stages. There is no need for retightening.
Follow the order as pictured.
Stage 1: Tighten to 30 Nm, Angle tighten to 50Ā° Ā±4Ā° in one movement without stopping.
Then wait at least three minutes in order for the cylinder head gasket to stabilise.
Stage 2: Completely loosen bolts 1 and 2. Tighten bolts 1 and 2 to 25 Nm. Angle tighten to 213Ā° Ā±7Ā° in one movement without stopping.
Repeat the Stage 2 for the remaining bolts in the order 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10 as illustrated.

TIGHTENING THE REAR BUMBER 2000 VOLVO S80

If you pull the trim off (use a plastic spatula to get under it, then just yank with your hands) there are holes in there to reach the bolts.

Get an extension and a socket, I think it's 12mm, and then see if you can just tighten them up a little bit.

Also, the bumpers hang on the body with some clips/grooves along the edges, so make sure that they didn't 'fall out' of the grooves and clips and sag that way.

If so, loosed the bolts, pull the bumper away from the car an inch or two and then push it back in place while aligning the bumpers edges.

How do I replace or tighten rear bumper on a 2004 Volvo s40 I don't see any bolts?

Yes.
I see from pictures you have a plastic bumper.
These are held in place mostly with plastic clips that are fastened inside the fender where you cannot see them.
You will need to put the car up in the air to see what to do next.
Volvo dealers sell the clips, as so do a few car parts stores.
Those plastic bumpers are very poorly secured, and fall off easily on all cars.
You may also find ripped or torn plastic holes which is why it is falling off.
If you wish to fix it yourself, you may need to do some really "creative" work underneath the car.
God bless your efforts.

Sounds like a loose belt.

Most surpentine belts have an atomatic tensoner. I have had 2 fail on different cars and it is a simple fix, both of them required removal of one bolt.

Problems removing rear brakes on a volvo s40 2001

Due to the heat cause when breaking it can be difficult to remove so the best thing to do is leave the spray to penetrate for about ten minutes then go back and carefully apply pressure with a ratchet rather than a spanner.

Headlight loose

Hi Lowgate, you need to remove the front bumper for a start. Then the headlamp can easily be removed by removing the 4 10mm bolts that secure it.
