Hi, the thermostat is just behind the bottom hose. The housing can be removed by undoing the 2 10mm bolts. A new thermostat is about £15.00

Hi my 1995 impreza wrx keeps overheating and water is coming out of the overflow on the cylinder that you use to add the coolant what could be the problem

After a review of your question. We have concluded that you may have a failed head gasket, If you have overheated it the will now have a cracked head.

RECOMENDATION:

1. Seek professional help and contact your local repair shop.

2. Go to your parts store and pick up a can of block sealer follow the directions explicitly and you may just have a chance of calming down your engine.

Hope this tip guides you to a solution that can help you.

I have a 1998 WRX and it won't boost over 5psi?

You most likely have a problem with the wastegate staying open and bleeding off all the 'boost' because your vaccum lines are incorrectly installed. The vaccume line leading to the wastegate must have sufficiant pressure to keep the wastegate shut until the desired 'boost' level has been met.

Alternator?
Voltage Regulator?

If the noise sounds like a weeeeeee that increases in pitch as the RPMs increase, and you haven't heard this sound before the 'problem', suspect the alternator...
