You can buy a new cylinder at most auto parts stores if you remove the plastic covers and you can turn the ignition enough to get it into the acc position there is a small release on the back side push it in and pull the cylinder out

Where is the steering wheel lock located?

If you have the original broken key try putting a mini drop of super glue on broken tip of key ( use a pin or needle to make mini drop) no wider then the width of key excess glue could make key stick in lock, reinstall key if all goes well after 2-3 minutes key will pullout broken piece with it when you remove it . Additionally lock mechanism is in the steering column Not easily accessible .

Key broken in suzuki swift 1998 ignition switch

If a fine pick won't work you could try super-glue carefully applied between the broken halves, or if the key is ferrous (steel) try a neodymium magnet (which you can find in an old hard-drive).

Nnthe key broke off inside the ignition and am trying to figure out how to remove the broken piece from inside the ignition since i have another key

If the broken piece of key is not sticking out of the ignition lock, unlikely you will be able to remove
it. Because its probably one solid broken piece and its bent so it wont slide right out.

But try getting a strong magnet, and put your spare key in until it touches the broken piece of
key in the ignition. Stick the magnet on the spare key and see if you can pull the broken piece out.

If you have an old speaker thats not working, there will be a strong magnet on the back of the
speaker. Or use a magnetic pickup tool for picking up screws, sockets and stuff under the hood of
your car. You can get a magnetic pickup tool from an auto parts store.

If you cant get the broken piece out you will need to replace the ignition lock. Not easy on
a Cadillac, probably has the telescoping/ tilt steering wheel.

Broken key inside ignition

Your two choices are #1 remove and replace the ignition cylinder or #2 remove the cylinder, disassemble it and remove the broken key piece and reinstall cylinder. If you cannot handle the job, have a mechanic do it since it's quite a complex task getting that cylinder out and an even harder task removing the broken key piece.

take it to a lock smith to remove the broken part or you could jam the broken part down to where the ignition will turn with the broken key. I advise taking it to a lock smith to remove the broken part
