some odd thing with dash board not fully explained.
I guess engine stalled>? and cluster showed that?
my wild guess is FUSES blown. we check them all, open mind.
scan the PCm and TCM to see if there are transmission errors

6 to 8 quarts. Use the dipstick tube to keep it accurate. Also use the transmission fluid it recommends. You can use dex III, but need an additive with it. If it calls for synthetic, use it. Your transmission won't last long if you use the wrong fluid.
