the heater core in a 1998 Cadillac is very tricky to replace.
start with getting a pressure test to determine where the exact location of the leak is, it may not be the heater core.
if you do decide to pull the dash apart to change the core make sure the battery is disconnected for at least an hour to allow the airbag system to discharge.

Will do my best to help, You have this listed as a 1998 DeVille, in the verbage you say its a 1995. okay if the blower motor continues to run when you turn the key off then regardless of the year model the electronics in the blower motor has failed and it will have to be replaced. If its running with the key off you can disconnect it under the hood. It is located just off center to the driver side. It has a 3 wire connector this will keep the battery from going dead. I have a 1999 Cadillic Deville. The low Frefrigerant indicater come on after about 15 minutes of disconnecting the battery power. Each Time I reset the power the air conditioner comes back on for a while then goes out. I have taken it into the local auto repair place and they find no problem with the unit.
Could this be a intermittent connection to the computer. They have replaced both sencors and the problem persists. Where is the computer located on the car that handles this AC sensor message?

Under the rear passenger set. It is a sealed special battery that cost about $130+ and has a special vent to take fumes out of the cabin.

under the rear seat. lift in the rear and pull forward it will pop loose and you can lift it out

the battery is located under the rear seat cushion on your cadillac deville, to remove the rear seat cushion just pull up on the front of the cushion to release it and pull it forward. you will see the battery and a fuse block.

there are also terminals under the hood that run directly to the battery for jumpstarting but going to the battery itself is the best way. those re-located terminals don't usually work because the amperage has to travel pretty far to get to the battery.
