One common solution is to disconnect the negative battery cable for 10minutes. When you reconnect, the stereo should reset itself and allow you to eject your CD's . Best of luck!

I had the same problem for months. I checked the owners manual, checked the fuse box, everything I could think of. Then, today, I did some online research and someone said one of the CD's is probably just jammed or slipped out a bit. The suggestion was to gently slide a credit card over the disk (through the door/slot, which in my case was partially open). I just tried it. The door closed and the message said "initializing". It worked! The CD player is back to normal.

Turn the radio off and then disconnect the battery for 30 seconds. Make sure the radio is off or your going to be prompted to enter a radio code to activate it again. Once the battery is reconnected the radio can be turned on again and then try to eject the CD. Good luck and this should work.

SOURCE: six-disc cd player

I too have this problem. My alternator went out, however and when starting the car after having that replaced it must have reset my CD player and it worked again for about 2 months. I am back to the CD error again tho. Thinking of un-hooking my battery cables to see if that will reset it again.

How do i eject and play cd's.

Look for a button that says ( eject ) on it, sometimes it maybe shortened and may say something like ( EJ ) or may have the eject symbol, which looks like this, found below.

I've had a sony cd player which has no eject button, I had to glide my finger from one side to other side, which ejected the cd.

Also the stereo manual is helpful, if the cd player is original and not aftermarket, the car owner's manual can help.
Original or aftermarket , product support line or their website can be a helpful.

Good luck, hope this helps you, answers your question and have a nice day.

My Cd player in my 2004 Jeep grand cherokee laredo wont eject the cd. It recognizes that there is a cd there and will even play the cd when i press the mode button but it wont eject it. Any help is...

I have an 05 jeep grand cherokee and the other day when I went to hit the the eject button on the CD player it automatically went straight to the radio. After I restarted the vehicle I could hit mode and it would begin to play the cd again but if I tried to hit eject it would go to the radio again. It doesnt have a disc changer and everything else on the factory head unit is working find, the radio, all that stuff. I didnt want to start tearing things apart or trying to dig it out. I have sees some others with the same problem on here, but the answer are like "dig in there with tweezers" and I dont think thats the best possible way to solve the problem. Any Ideas?

My CD is stuck in the CD player. It will play, but it won't eject. When I hit the eject button, it makes noise, but nothing happens.

Sometimes there is a small hole in the front panel, you may push a paperclip straight into the hole and it will eject the tray manually. If there is no hole than the unit has to be removed and opened to gain acsess. The reason for the failure is belt wear. Thank you, Dana

Turn the radio off first and then disconnect the battery for 2 min then reconnect the battery. This should reset your radio and then you can eject your CD, and reset your stations and clock. Good luck

2004 FORD F-150 CD EJECT ERR

I've had this happen once before..CDR's are a little bigger than regular cd's.Sometimes they wont let go at all..You either can undo the battery and then reconnect then it usually automatically ejects or you'll have to manually do it or you can pull the fuse and then put it back in and the same proceedure..
