I have a 98 honda accord coupe, and the dash lighting is out,the climate control lighting, and the shift select lighting as well, and also the horn wont work from the steering wheel, any solution on this matter?...Tommy
Have you tried looking at the fuse box and relays to see if there are any blown fuses ? try that. If you replace the fuses or relay and the lights still don't come on, you may have a shrt on the wiring under the dash or in the engine compartment.

yes, RTM read the manual. its there, free at link below.
This is usually fixed by replacing the TCM (transmission control module). This is a very common problem with Hondas and replacing this part almost always fixes this problem.
I have a 91 accord coupe with an automatic transmission. The letter S on the dash represents the "Sports Shift" designation for the transmission. There should be a small button on the side of your shifter that controls this feature. It sounds like your depressing the button with realizing it.
push and twist bulbs have little noches one on each side. if un sure ask autoparts store for bulbs for dash and you can see what they look like. and pull fuses .they sometimes look good ,but check anyway.
I assume you want to reset you maint required light. Try this: With the key off, press and hold the select/reset button on the dash. Then turn the key on, with the button still pressed the light will start flashing and then go out. (It takes about 10 seconds to go out.)
1. pry out carefully the clock out, and remove its connectors 2. take out the screw behind the clock, and the 2 screws facing south below the center dash fascia 3, pull out the fascia (takes some force) 4. remove the 2 plug connectors of the climate control 5. look for the bulbs backside on the rear of the climate control, they look like a black plastic disc, smaller than a dime
