SOURCE: fuel filter location

The oil filter is in an aluminum cylinder on the engine. It is not a "spin on" filter, it is now a cartridge-type filter. When you get one, make sure that you use the new o-rings provided in the filter box. The fuel filter is in the tank. Hope this helps, the graciousness of a FixYa rating would be appreciated. Thanks.

SOURCE: need to locate toyota aurion/camry iac valve

the MAF sensor is between the air filter and throttle body. the idle controll is at the throttle body.  Its located on the throttle body on the left side. Follow the air intake to an intake manifold which sits on top of the throttle body.

SOURCE: Trying to locate the idle air control valve on Toyota Sienna Van

You idle air control valve should be located on the throttle body.  Here is a link to a picture of it so you can see what you are looking for:  http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/parts/partsShelf.jsp?categoryDisplayName=Engine+Management&fromType=parts&fromString=search&parentId=cat30067&currentPage=1&filterByKeyWord=IAC&isSearchByPartNumber=false&navValue=15900207&categoryNValue=15999999&fromWhere=&itemId=prod61721&displayName=Idle+Air+Control+Valve&searchText=IAC Let me know if you have any other questions.  Thanks for rating my response and for using FixYa!

How to clean idle air contol

The throttle body has to be removed from the intake air chamber, then the IAC valve can be removed and cleaned using a brush and a can of air intake cleaner, removing all carbon deposits so the rotating valve can move without sticking.

2001 Toyota Avalon quits when at idle

Just had the same problem on the 2002 Avalon. Pulled the throttle body off and removed and cleaned the Idle mixture control valve which was caked in deposits. Runs like new now. About 2 hours of work or less. Common problem with this model I heard. Hope this helps. Some one gave me this info over a year ago and I finally got around to doing it.

Idle too low on hot starts 2001 Avalon

Sounds like you idle air control valve is going bad. They start acting up on a hot engine due to sticking or high resistance through its internal windings. It will get to the point where the engine will stall every time you take your foot off the gas.
I suggest getting it replaced and the throttle body cleaned at the same time since it will need to be removed to replace the IAC.

Lurching at low speed take off

I would start by cleaning the inside of the Mass Air Flow sensor, dirt gets on the sensor element from the air going through and causes these kinds of problems, a company called CRC makes the spray cleaner for MAF's, any good auto parts store will have it, the MAF is located in the air intake hose to the engine. Another thing to check is the throttle valve and air bypass idle speed control valve for sludge, use the following procedure I have written to perform this.
Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls and low idle, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve, they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.
