My 2003 Passat is throwing a P0411 code and was wondering how to fix it

SOURCE: 2002 VW Passat GLS 1.8T throwing two codes: P0171

System Too Lean (Bank 1)

Basically this means that an oxygen sensor in bank 1 detected a lean condition (too much oxygen in the exhaust). On V6/V8/V10 engines, Bank 1 is the side of the engine that has cylinder #1.
Note: This DTC is very similar to P0174, and in fact your vehicle may show both codes at the same time.

Check engine code
Code P0411 - Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow Detected.
Check air pump , they tend to split casing , also check vacuum hose to EGR (combination valve) and valve itself.

I have a 2000 Passat (1.8T), and I recently had this code (P0411). First thing I did was to clean the mass airflow sensor (MAF) and reset the code by disconnecting the battery. Unfortunately, the code came back. It also came back with P1426. It ended up being the purge valve ($60 at ECSTuning, $140 at the dealer...I went with ECSTuning). Before you drop money on the part, inspect all of the hoses to ensure they are not cracked or torn.

Check engine light p0411 code what must i do car drive with lack of power. I push the acceleration pedal and it takes seconds befor it accelerate, like it dont take off.
this has to do with your secondary air injection incorrect flow. start looking for a vacuum leak especially around the air duct from the mass air flow sensor to the throttle body.

I have a 2001 passat and there is engin light, code p411 How to fix this pls
P0411 is an indication of a MAF sensor (mass air flow). A common cause is the vacuum lines conneted to the MAF. A leak or worn vacuum line will throw a P0411. Check the lines going to the MAF (near the air filter). If the lines are good, then replacing the MAF should solve your problem. Best of luck.

P0411 code 99 Passat
The secondary Air Injection system, this is basically an inspect and replace broken hose detail. Leave the inlet hose disconnected and start the engine. Listen and feel for exhaust hissing at the check valves.The check valve(s) will make like a gurgling sound as air is drawn in However , if exhaust is felt or heard replace the valve. Hope this works out for ya.
