1999 Buick Regal - need steps to unlock anti-theft (I have my code)

Is your SECURITY light flashing? If so, you have a V.A.T.S. problem. VATS stands for Vehicle Anti Theft System. Try getting a new ignition key made because the resistance value has probably changed in the one you have. If that doesn't do it you'll need to get a VATS bypass.

Your buick dealer is the place to go.

you will have to take the vin # to GM and have them make you a key, you cannot start it without the resistor in the key if you try the anti theft system will lock down the ignition system.

I wash my engine all the time too. The only thing I can think of that you might have done is get a waterproof seal on or near the coil pack wet. If you have a compressor, take out the plugs and blow them dry. The vat thing, I am unfamiliar with, Unless it is the anti theft system, which is a ****** to fix if it goes wrong. I know it kills just about everything, why not the pump? But if your engine turns over, that is not it. Check the oil. Check the stuff that got the wettest. Hope this helps.

YOUR RAIDO HAS A CODE # TO PREVENT THEFT, YOUR DEALER CAN GIVE YOU THE CODE. WHEN YOU REMOVED BATTERY RAIDO THEFT CODE WAS SET OFF IN RAIDO.

You'll have to phone the car dealer for the unlock code if it's the original radio

that tell u that something is wrong, get a scan tool an pull the code.

Sorry, only the dealer can clear the code in your radio if you don't know it. This is an anti-theft feature. If the code were out there radios would stolen!

Easy Way to check and KNOW for yourself --- Look Under rear at Where wheels Connect see if it has a TIE ROD and See If it has struts of Shocks TIE RODS & OR Struts Take Alighnment Shocks do not
