SOURCE: Need to turn the valet switch off On 1999 Nissan Maxima
Look for alarm Brain box and look for wires coming out black and red going to valet switch. to turn valet on turn ignition in ON position and press-switch or flip depending on the type of switch. If it a basic alarm just disconnect the main wiring harness to alarm box- unplug and the car should start. Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA

You need to first look under the drivers side dash area near the hood release/fuse panel area and see if there is a valet switch. The switch will look like a little toggle or a push switch. After you locate it, turn the ignition switch to the on position(dont start it) and flick the valet to the opposite position it is in now. If done correctly in most cases the red system light will stay a constant instead of off or blinking indicating you are in valet mode. Next try to start the engine. If this doesnt work you need to remove the alarm system and repair the ignition switch wiring or replace the electrical portion of the ignition switch. The aftermarket alarm cuts into the ignition switch wires and bypasses the start circuit through the alarm module. When disarmed the alarm completes the circuit and allows the car to start. Good luck hope this helps and please rate this.

First thing you should have done was check and test.NOT REPLACE PARTS.Did you test the battery to determine it needed to go? Had the starter failed to turn the engine over? The Alt supplies current to run the vehicle ,and keep the battery at the proper state of charge. How did you decide on ign wires verus the other ign components? Did it start and run okey ,before you added the after market alarm? If yes, I guess you know where some of the issues are!
SOURCE: How to disarm car alarm
Most security systems on vehicles have a small single pole throw type switch located under the dash board area on the drivers side, whatever direction you find the switch set in flip the switch to the opposite side to disarm the alarm, this is called putting the alarm in a passive or valet type mode until you can have the whole system checked by a certified alrm install facility that deals with the type alarm you have in your vehicle.
