ERROR CODE ON CD FACE / CONTINUES TO MAKE CLICKING SOUND
My CD player did the same thing on my 2005 Chevy Malibu MAXX LS. I know it sounds weird, but disconnect the car battery from the car (resetting the whole car system), and then reconnect. I pressed the eject button on the console, and it ejected my CD with no problem.
There is really nothing you can do but pull the radio/CD player and have it repaired, I would not go through the dealer, the price for the repair will be double that you would pay if you gave the radio to the shop and bypassed the dealer. Contact your dealer for a phone number of an authorized GM repair shop.

battery went low and changer has 5 discs in it. now says empty (cd0 track 7) and constantly clicks as if it is changing discs. now displays "cd changer error"
I have the exact same issue. I would like to remove the cd player and radio myself but cannot figure out how to remove the faceplate. Does anyone know
