Vw passat wont crank

The car was running fine minus the windows going down. I took off the door panel to find the connection was not pluged in.when i plugged it in some windows came down then i put them up. Key was in the ignition on the on position. When i went to start the car it wouldnt even crank. I do here an electrical noise coming from the abs module but doubt it is that.

SOURCE: 2003 vw passat senstive abs

This is caused by excessive ABS sensor air gap. You might need to adjust the air gap on the speed sensor to the new cv shaft.

Driver door stuck in the middle..it'll go down but not all the way up on my '07 VW Eos. Took off switch panel & used electrical cleaner solution then let dry a half dozen times. Could it really be a fuse, even if the other windows work fine???

Driver side window on my 04 vw passat wont go up or down but motor seems to be working

Depending upon the actual sounds your hearing the windo could have come off its track, or the linkage between the window motor and the window hardware has become disengaged. In either event you will need to remove the interior door panel in order to observe the proble, and then determine whether you will be able to repair the problem. The access holes are small, and the metal edges are sometime rather sharp. Other than that the job may not be all that difficult if you are mechanically inclined. Dealer cost could be in the $300 range, mor if a new window motor is required.

Interior trim panel removal instruction

Normal 0 . Disconnect your negative battery cable. Locate and remove the screws that hold your interior door handles in place (they may be hidden by snap in, or snap on clips). Remove the interior door handles, then disconnect the wire clips to the switches. Your panel is held in place by snap in clips; use a small pry bar to pull them from the door (try to get as close to, or directly under the clips to prevent them from tearing out of the door panel). Once the clips are pulled, pull the panel upward to remove it from the door.
Install in reverse.

If you don't have power windows you will have to remove the manual window crank. It is held in place by a clip on the back side of the base. To remove the clip, you will need a small hook (kind of like a knitting needle). Put the hook in behind the base, and grab the clip and pull it off. To replace it, slide the clip back on the window crank, and snap it back on the door.
