Passenger sliding door will unlatch, but why doesn't it slide open?

These vehicles have had trouble with the center roller becoming bent and or the rollers becoming loose causing the door to bind. There were also programming updates from the dealer if it is a power sliding door available.

CHIMING WHEN SHIFTED INTO DRIVE

In the passenger side fuse box you need to pull out fuses # 24, 25, and 14 to disable the sliding power doors. They don't work well and the dealers cant seem to fix them so that they stay fixed. Just operate the doors manually.

How do i reprogram the power sliding door on a 2005 buick terraza

From the owner's manual:

If your vehicle has

the dual power sliding doors, both doors will have

to be reset. To reset a door, do the following:

1. Check to be sure the power sliding door is

unlocked and securely closed.

2. Turn the ignition to LOCK.

3. If the power sliding door overhead console

switch is in the override (deactivation)

position, return to the activation position.

4. Open the sliding door using the remote

keyless entry transmitter, overhead console

switch, or passenger switch. Allow the door to

travel fully open.

If the door does not travel to the fully open

position, press the overhead console switch to the

override (deactivation) position and slide the

door fully open and closed. Check for foreign

objects in the tracks. Repeat the procedure starting

with Step 1. If the door resists travel to the fully
open position, see your retailer for service.

Sliding driver's side door will not shut on buick terraza

My passenger side door would not close. The mechanic reprogrammed it with the instructions in the handbook. So far it is working OK after one month. Good luck

I have a 2005 Buick Terraza. The sensor for the passenger side power sliding door is telling the door not to close because something is in the way. Nothing is in the way the door will only close like 1 out...

I have the same problem with mine. But one thing that has worked for me is pulling the handle from the outside a couple of times. I don't know if something is sticking in there or if it resets the door. I hope this helps
