I have a 2002 hyundai santa fe and the blower motor has stopped working. I have replaced the blower motor and the resistor with brand new parts but the fan still does not work. When I turn the fan on the blower motor relay clicks but nothing else happens. Any idea if it is the relay or maybe the blower motor switch?

I have a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe and I've replaced the blower switch three times already. I read in other forums that the likely culprit is that some nearby wires are chafing (possibly from stereo) and therefor causing an amp spike, shorting it out. I called Hyundai to see if there was a recall but they said since it's not a safety issue there would be no recall (even though it's happened to many others). I hope this helps.

SOURCE: ''check engine light'' illuminated, 1004 Hyundai, Santa Fe

If you live in the US, take it to qany Auto Zone store and thy will read the codes off for you, I would suspect any right thinking competitor would do the same, check if you don't have one near by.

Hope this is of some help.

SOURCE: PROGRAM KEYFOB FOR HYUNDAI SANTA FE

This is from the factory service manual of your car:
There is no onboard programming procedure for this vehicle. This vehicle requires special equipment be connected to the vehicle to program the keyless remote. Translation you need the dealer to do this.

SOURCE: blower fan won't shut off its or climate control

My 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis had a similiar problem. The blower fan continuously ran at full blast and wouldn't shut off now matter what!
It was the part called the Blower Motor Resistor had gone out. I purchased it for $50.00 from the Dealer and replaced it myself. You can get a diagram from your dealer or online. It is kind of hard to get to but if the dealer had replaced it.....it would have cost $200!

How to find and replace blower motor resistor on 2002 hyundai santa fe 2wd

I don't know about a Santa Fe, but on most cars it is real near the blower motor.

Blower Motor only works on high and resistor changed

sounds like it's the switch; but it is important to see whether the fan spins freely or else the switch or resistor block will fail again. the most common reason for these failures is that the motor drags and pulls too many amps, thus overheating the connectors and wires.

Heater fan only works on hight. 2004 hyundai santa fe

This problem is related to faulty blower motor resistor. The resistor is the part which controls the blower motor to work on required speeds. But if resistor fails then motor will work normally but will not work on selected speed like slow and medium .In this case replacing the resistor should help.To locate the resistor open your glove box and roll it all the down take off the panel in behind the resistor will be top right hand side. This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

On my santa fe the heater wont turn on. I have

It could be your blower switch, but more than likely it's a resistor that is usually a part of the blower assembly, and it operates the speeds. Doesn't cost much but can be tricky installing. If you had one or two speeds not working, initially, eventually all may stop. If fan stopped working and all speeds had been operating, then you may have a bad wire or blower motor. Also, check your manual for fuses, as there may be a compartment inside the vehicle as well as one under the hood.

Blower fan won't shut off its or climate control fan keeps running 2003 hyundai santa fe

Probably a stuck fan control relay.
Find the relay and remove it - if this stops the fan. replace the relay with a new one.

03 Santa Fe blower motor resistor replacement

the part you need to replace is the blower motor resistor assembly it has a screw on each side of it with a plug in th middle and for the most part it is on the passanger under the dash behind a black cover stop by a auto store and take a look at one and then you know what you are looking for and at the same time you can find out how much its going to cost i am only going to guess it somewhere around $15.00 to 25.00 dollars.
