You have a shorted engine harness, this is not common but it does happen, heat and engine movement cause damage to the harness, this is most common on hi miler cars and vans, the only way to fix it is to start by looking anywhere the harness rubs, that is where the damage occurs.

Parked 98 grand voyager van after work, next morning it would not move, acts like its in a bind. you cant move van in neutral with engine running, turn off engine in neutral and you can pull or tow it.

Check for a faulty brake booster as it appears that the diaphragm is pushing on the brake pistons in the master cylinder from a faulty valve in the booster. Try disconnecting the hose to the booster ( blank off properly to the manifold) and see if the car can be moved with the engine running

My 1998 grand voyager wont start the fuse keep blowing when you try to start the van. what could be the problem?

a fuse does what ? it protects circuit from over heating and burning all the wire. and a wire from the postive side of the batt to the negtive side will heat up depending on how big around the wire is.
so the switch that you put the key in to start the engine, also gives power to lights, radio, etc.
now does the fuse blow when the switch is turned to on, but not to start ??? or only when turned all the way to start ??? if you know that it blows at the 1st point then one of the wires to the other circuits is grounded when switch is turned. if it blows only at start point then a wire in the start circuit is grounded.

Cruise control 1998 plymouth grand voyager fuse block diagram

Hello chekon,

Thank you for choosing fixya.com. The fuse box cover should have a diagram on the back of it, which will indicate which fuse represents it's component(s). If you are unsure what any abbreviations stand for or represent, look in your owners manual, or look in a service manual for the 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager. I also own a 98 Plymouth Grand Voyager (SE) and have a service manual for it, as well as for the 97 Dodge Caravan. My 98 has the 3.0 L engine, and I have done several maintenance requirements to it recently, so if you have any other questions, please let me know and I'll help you out.

Let me know if you need me to locate any fuses or relays for you. In the meantime, I'll do some searching online for some diagrams. Most sites charge for such items, however, if I find something I'll leave a comment with such findings.

Thank you again for choosing fixya.com.
