Over a year ago not sure what u are refering to Solutions (1) Here is the way to do it without the nissan scan tool. Make sure to follow all steps and it it best if you use a watch with a second hand. 1. Perform "Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning". a. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released. b. Turn ignition switch 'ON' and wait at least 2 seconds. c. Turn ignition switch 'OFF' wait at least 10 seconds. d. Turn ignition switch 'ON' and wait at least 2 seconds. e. Turn ignition switch 'OFF' wait at least 10 seconds. 2. Perform "Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning" . a. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released. b. Turn ignition switch 'ON'. c. Turn ignition switch 'OFF' wait at least 10 seconds. Make sure that throttle valve moves during above 10 seconds by confirming the operating sound. 3. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature. 4. Check that all items listed under the topic 'PREPARATION' (previously mentioned) are in good order. 5. Turn ignition switch 'OFF' and wait at least 10 seconds. 6. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch 'ON' and wait 3 seconds. 7. Repeat the following procedure quickly five times within 5 seconds. a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal. b. Fully release the accelerator pedal. 8. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 20 seconds until the MIL stops blinking and turned ON. 9. Fully release the accelerator pedal within 3 seconds after the MIL goes off. 10. Start engine and let it idle. 11. Wait 20 seconds. 12. Rev up the engine two or three times and make sure that idle speed and ignition timing are within the specifications. 13. If idle speed and ignition timing are not within the specification, the result will be incomplete. In this case, more test needs to be done.

SOURCE: How to read the engine

there is a screw on side of the ECM. turn screw counter clockwise all the way and monitor dash board/check engine light on and count the number of flashes on dash board. when you are done turn the screw back into original spot.

Why does my 2008 nissan sentra does not get good accelerstion when i put it into drive

There are a few possible reasons why your 2008 Nissan Sentra might not be accelerating well when you put it into drive. Some possible causes include:
  1. The transmission fluid is low or needs to be changed. The transmission relies on a certain amount of fluid to operate smoothly, and if the fluid is low or dirty, it can cause the transmission to shift poorly or not engage at all.
  2. The spark plugs or other ignition components are worn or damaged. The engine relies on the spark plugs to ignite the air/fuel mixture in the cylinders, and if the spark plugs are worn or damaged, it can cause the engine to misfire and lose power.
  3. The fuel filter is clogged or dirty. The fuel filter is responsible for removing contaminants from the fuel before it reaches the engine, and if the filter is clogged or dirty, it can restrict the flow of fuel and cause the engine to lose power.
  4. The engine or transmission mounts are worn or damaged. The engine and transmission are mounted to the chassis of the vehicle with rubber mounts, and if these mounts are worn or damaged, it can cause the engine and transmission to shift or move excessively, which can cause poor acceleration.
If you are experiencing poor acceleration with your 2008 Nissan Sentra, it is best to have the vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic to diagnose the issue and recommend a solution. They will be able to diagnose the problem and recommend the appropriate repairs.

Two codes coming up on car even after fixing alot on car now need to figure out low cost ways to fix P0744 & P0722 code issues spent 1,800 on car & have spent 1,400 already in parts & labor.

you need a better mechanic that traces ALL of the possibilities of each code, not just read the code and trow in a part hoping that it's fixed ~ it can be wiring as well, not just plug in a new part as mentioned on the 2nd trouble code to the vehicle speed sensor

P0744 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Intermittent

P0722 Output Speed Sensor No Signal

the first of the 2 looks to be more intensive to trace and find out the problem & the 0722 is the easier job for an intermediate mechanic to trace the wiring for continuity

My 2004 nisan sentra automatic wont go in reverse

I've heard that if the transmission filter gets clogged it can keep cars from going in reverse. The filters are usually accessed by removing the pan at the bottom of the transmission. You should just replace the filter. In addition to the filter you will probably need a new gasket for the pan and new transmission fluid. Definitely a do it yourself project if you can lift the front end onto stands or drive up onto wheel ramps.

hesitation could be dirty fuel injectors clogged fuel filter, check transmission fluid could be low, transmission could be slipping on take off if it has been a long while change transmission fluid and filter.
