Battery was charged, alternator was putting out 14.6 volts. Then last night I had the headlights, heater fan, wipers going, and turned on the rear window defogger. Alternator light came on, now alternator isn't putting out anything with all accessories off. Fuse panel under steering wheel has nothing mentioning alternator. Secondary fuse panel at passenger side has 3 fuses that appear visibly to be OK. Does anyone know if there is a fuse for the alternator control curcuit and where it is located?

A common thing to fial on these- assumning the grid is ok, and wires are still attched to grid, is the rear def / antenna module. It is behind rt. rear quarter trim panel. The modules burn up, and also melt the connector. the module and connector would need to be replaced.

Have you checked the wire harness that goes between the hatch and the body? The constant opening and closing weakens the wires. Could also be the ground wire, I believe is inside the hatch. It could have come undone. If you have an owners manual, it should guide you to the defogger fuse. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

smonahan, The rear wiper fuse is actually a circuit breaker. It will reset itself.
Your wiper arm has probably stripped were it attaches to the motor shaft. You can check by trying to move the wiper arm with your hand, if it moves back and forth, its stripped. A new wiper arm will be needed.
Try it and let me know.
Regards,

The fuse box for all of your lights is in your glove box, under the pull-out liner. Fuse #5 is for turn signals/flashers, fuse #6 is for brake lights, and fuse #7 is for all of the interior lights. I believe the fuses are labeled by number and they also have a designation under them. None of the descriptions specifically mention reverse lights though.
#5 says "T/SIG"
#6 says "STOP"
#7 says "CTSY"

I was able to remove alternator and have it tested for free at AutoZone. It was putting out only 11 volts, so I presume a diode was burned out. Replaced the unit and all is working fine for now.
