Where is the battery location on vw touareg - 2006 Volkswagen Touareg

Its apparently located under the passenger side carpet in the footwell

wow it's so rare that even VW stopped printing this?!?! that SUCKS

i had the same problem would drive for about 2mins and the engine to my VW2004 touareg will stop running i would turn it back on and it will start running. took it to VW was told it was fuel pump . i had that fixed and couple of weeks later the car battery won't start i had to jump start it .:::(

look in your owner manual, it has all that info and more. if you buy your battery at advance, sears, or autozone they put it in for you.

Error code 4195 in your Touareg indicates that there is an Air conditioning problem.

Let an AC expert take a look at the blower, condenser and the AC pipe lines.

There are three different battery configurations in the Touareg.
1) Touaregs with the V-10 TDI engine come equipped with two batteries, the additional one of which is normally dedicated to the engine start procedure exclusively.
2) Some Touaregs without the V-10 TDI engine come equipped with two batteries. In these vehicles, the extra battery is always dedicated to an additional water heater.
3) Some Touaregs without the V-10 TDI engine come equipped with only one battery.
Currently, all gasoline engine Touaregs sold in the US include only one battery. All diesel engine Touaregs sold in the US have two batteries.

" In all Touaregs, the main battery is located under the driver's seat. In Touaregs with two batteries, the additional battery is located beneath the floor of the rear storage area, occupying the space that the spare tire would normally occupy".

Use the VAGCOM software tool, or just disconnect & reconnect the battery, that will reset any existing faultcode in the ECU.

Hi, it has only 1 battery and is located under driver seat.Busting points are located under hood.
