I have a celica 2003 vvti 190 and have just returned from a trip to scotland. Whilst waiting for boarding onto the ferry i was playing the cd player and running the fan. When it was our turn to get on the boat i found my battery was flat. I got a jump start from one of the ferry terminal guys but the alarm seemed to be triggered. Since i've been home I can't get into the car without the alarm siren going off plus the indicators. The car will run and the alarm seems to turn off after about 7-10 seconds but its really annoying especially since the neighbours don't get up early in the morning. Any help how i can at least turn the siren off?

If the system is the factory system, the following procedure is how to disable it:
Open the driver side door and enter the car
Insert the key into the ignition
Turn the key to the "on" position, and then back to the "Off" position 5 times in 1 second motions
on-off on-off on-off on-off on-off on try to start
"On" is where the warning lights illuminate on the instrument panel

SOURCE: celica oil consumption

Try cleaning your engine with an engine flush such as AMSOIL engine flush and then draining your oil once the flush is complete. It will clean the interior of the engine and drain out the contaminants. Once this has been perfomed replace the old oil with completely synthetic AMSOIL or Mobil 1. These oils are know for there ability to clean an engine and to reduce the chances of sludge formation in toyota engines. This is a good place to start before you go spending thousands on a new engine!!

Testimonial: "Thanks!Done engine flush&oil change today, also added some engine treatment in there for gd measure, all that's left is to wait&see. thanks v much :)"

SOURCE: my 2001 celica vvti power steering whins when cold

This could be caused by dirty or over-aged power steering fluid, it's not flowing enough when the engine is cold (so the fluid) lack of enough fluid flowing through power steering pump can cause the power steering pump to start whining. Change the fluid and you should be good. Hope it helps and please don't forget to rate the answer if it was helpful, it helps me, thanks!

Toyota celica vvti

Leave the jumper connected for about 10 minutes at least to get the battery some charge. If that doesn't work, wait another 10 minutes.

Remember that when you first connect the jumper cable, the good car is charging the battery AND trying to start the car.
