I have a honda 2002 crv, i got this the malfunction light on, and was diagnosed to be P1166 - air fuel ratio sensor (sensor 1) heater circuit malfunction P1167 - air fuel ratio sensor (sensor 1) heater system malfunction Apart from having the sensor replaced, i thought this might just be the fuse for the heater that needs replaced. Where is this fuse located ?

In the fuse box, it may be marked, or in your owners manual. Chefk them all, then you will know if any fuses are bad. Usually its the sensor if the fuses are good.

ok , you scanned or Autozoned it, if latter?, fail you do.
did they write it down wrong?
the code must be told accurately, (im sure you know that)

this code needs honda only meanings, P1

blown 7.5a fuse #15?
baring a simple fuse.
read the FSM./
the FSM covers this code, what to do and to find which part is
bad , not guessing, the ECU cant tell you what part is bad or dirty.
it only tells you what tests failed.
read the FSM or take the car to any ASE certified Mechanic.
this car is Throttle by wire. technology. (a pain , the TSB proves it.)

ever heard of a TSB? all good mech read them first
here is one example, on topic. too.

MIL Comes On With DTC P1659 TSB 05-008
SYMPTOM
In cold temperatures, the MIL comes on with DTC P1659 (electronic throttle control system control relay OFF malfunction). PROBABLE CAUSE Moisture inside the throttle control relay may freeze. This would cause the relay to fail, storing DIG P1659 along with any of these DTCs: P0135: Rear Air Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor (Bank 1, Sensor 1) Circuit Malfunction, P0141: Rear Secondary Heated Oxygen Sensor (Secondary HO2S, Bank 1, Sensor 2) Heater Circuit Malfunction, P0155: Front Air Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor (Bank 2, Sensor 1) Heater Circuit Malfunction, P0161: Front Secondary Heated Oxygen Sensor (Secondary H025, Bank 2, Sensor 2) Heater Circuit Malfunction, P0498: Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Vent Shut Valve Control Circuit Low Voltage. CORRECTIVE ACTION Replace the electronic throttle control relay, the air/fuel sensor relay, and the starter cut relay.

Where is the ELD on honda crv 2008

Hi,

P1289 - Cylinder Head Temp Sensor High Input
The A/F sensor is a planar dual-cell limit current sensor. The sensor element of the A/F sensor is the combination of a Nernst concentration cell (sensor cell) with an oxygen-pump cell, which transports ions. It has a heater in the element.

The sensor is capable of precise measurement a= 1, but also in the lean and rich range. Together with its control electronics, the sensor outputs a clear, continuous signal throughout a wide range (0.7 < a< air).

The exhaust gas components diffuse through the diffusion gap at the electrode of the oxygen pump and Nernst concentration cell, where they are brought to thermodynamic balance.

An electronic circuit controls the pump current through the oxygen-pump cell so that the composition of the exhaust gas in the diffusion gap remains constant at a = 1. Therefore, the A/F sensor is able to indicate air/fuel ratio by this pumping of current. In addition, a heater is integrated in the sensor to ensure the required operating temperature of 700 - 800?C (1,292 - 1,472?F).

The response (from LEAN to RICH) of the A/F (Bank 1) signal computed by ECM from A/F sensor 1 signal takes more than the specified time.

Symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)

Possible causes
# Harness or connectors (The A/F sensor 1 circuit is open or shorted.)
# Air fuel ratio (A/F) sensor 1
# Air fuel ratio (A/F) sensor 1 heater
# Fuel pressure
# Fuel injector
# Intake air leaks
# Exhaust gas leaks
# PCV
# Mass air flow sensor

Thank you.

Air sensor check engine light

Ok as a guess that you have a SUV and you have different air faults. if you are a DYI'er go to an auto parts store and get an error code tool. Harbor freight for $30-50. Hook it to the car and find out which sensor is it calling for. Note, you can reset the check engine light on most tools that are not the cheapest.
