You need to use a scan tool to read and reset the code. If you just got it back from a mechanic, I would take it back and let them know. Especially if it wasn't on before they did work for you. They can quickly and easily do it for you. If for some reason, you don't want to do that. You can take it to Autozone, Advance auto parts etc. Some of those parts stores will do this for you for free hoping that you will buy any needed parts from them.

Bad switch, loose connection.

You been under the dash? In the steering column maybe? Most vehicles won't shift out of park unless the brake pedal is pressed. That activates the brake switch and unlocks the transmission shift lever. Funny, that's under the dash too! Look for a dislodged connector on the steering column, one on the brake switch and hopefully you will find one or more connector issues. The heater blower is the odd one.

Either the dealership should be able to order you a new part, or a salvage yard should be able to sell you a used part, if they have the part available.

relpace cv axle and check hub for damage or wear

Some you have to remove the cover from behind the light and twist the socket out. Others are removed from under the light also twisted out.

check shifter cable

have someone pump the brake pedal several times then have them hold it down crack open the bleeder on passenger side till pedal goes down close bleeder have them do it again till no air comes out then do the same thing to the drivers side but do not let the master cylinder go empty

Possible bad fuel pump. Have someone crank the engine while rapidly hitting the bottom of the fuel tank with your fist agressively. You can also use a hammer and hit the tank using the flat of the hammer head while the engine is being cranked. If it starts or tries to start, suspect a bad fuel pump
