1996 Lincoln Town Car wont start
the car thinks you are stealing it. get out of the car with keys in hand. lock all doors hood trunk etc. open car with key in the door. reenter car retry starter

hold the switch in the up fashion with the key on and bang the inside of door with your fist in order to jar the motor,. hold the switch up while banging
We had a battery failure and sevaral times the car
You may see some black Powerboxes under the hood, sometimes they have labels moulded into the plastic. The A/C relay may be bad, even causing a power drain and running down the old battery. Also, you say the A/C does not come ON, but your blower fan may be what is not coming ON and the A/C compressor may be working fine. This problem is caused by a bad blower resistor control.Your A/C probably has a computer digital display screen. This type of control has a self-diagnostic Mode which can be keyed in with a combination of control button pushes. It can diagnose in less than 2 minutes, but you need corresponding Code dictionary to translate into Human language and you need to know where the defective parts are located. An A/C shop would know this.

You need two people to fix this problem. One to operate the switch for fluid, the other to see where it's leaking from. It connects to the hood or the firewall.

The heater and a/c blend door actuator motor is located behind the center of the dash just below the windshield. The steering column must be detached and lowered and the dash must be removed to access the blend door motor.

Try asking at the ford dealer ,if your nice to the storeman then he may bring you up a parts diagram with the wiring on it and print you a copy
