My kia spectra engine light

Are you very sure its spitting out gas? If smoke is light in color, you have a blown head gasket-coolant level will drop and you can smell the odor of coolant in the air. If you're sure you have unburned fuel spitting out your exhaust, this is extremely dangerous to everyone around you so don't run it and get it to a shop or reply back to me...

Help with brake repair

Well , you failed to mention exactly what you are doing or what parts you have. So I will assume you are changing the front pads? Most common. Loosen up the lugs on one wheel, do not remove, jack up the wheel, remove the lugs, You have a few main parts to deal with, rotor, big round shiny thing, caliper, big bulky thing that hangs off to the rear of the rotor, pads, worn out parts you are replacing on the inside of the caliper. 2 bolts in the back of the caliper, 14mm, have a rubber cushion thing on them, pull them out, long, support the caliper on a piece of coat hanger so it won't pull on the brake line. Pull out the old pads, hang on to the clips and ,make note of how they go, Put in the new pads, now, you have to open up the caliper with a big C-clamp, some are self adjusting, they will spin back in, some you just press back in, otherwise they won't fit back on the rotor with the new pads. So with a big C-clamp, slowly squeeze them back together, slowly, if you don't, you will have brake fluid showering your engine. Get the caliper back on, get the bolts in, tighten them up, put the wheel back on, snug up the lugs, drop the jack, tighten up the wheel. Go to the other side and do it again. Make sure your rotors are somewhat smooth, you don't want ridges or bumps, If they are no good , you will need to get them turned, But unless you drove the car around for miles with the brakes grinding metal to metal, you shouldn't have to worry about it. Hope this helps.

THE KIA SPECTRA AUTOMATIC VIBRATES WHEN ENGINE IS ON AND IDDLE

The first thing to do is make sure that your vehicle is not due for basic maintenance. Plugs,wires,air/fuel filters. After that you can check to make sure your engine and transmission mounts are in good shape. You can do this with the help of a friend. Open the hood and have your buddy put the car in gear while holding the brake. Have your pal put the vehicle in neutral and then into reverse without letting go of the brake. Your engine should not move very much. It is normal for the engine to move maybe about a quarter of an inch but not much more. If the engine jumps and starts vibrating when thrown into gear, You more than likely have bad mounts or a bad mount somewhere. These mounts are made of rubber and fairly simple to replace. Visually inspect them to make sure they are not cracked or broken. If you replace the mounts, make sure to remove and replace them one at a time. You don't want your engine falling out of the car!!!! Good luck and I hope this was helpful.
