Jaguar XK8 Window Problem
Same thing has happened on mine!
The solution is to reprogram the window limits. You need to sit in the car with doors shut! Turn the key in ignition in position I or II, roll down the window all the way and keep holding the switch for 5 seconds, then roll the window up and again keep the switch pressed for 5 seconds, repeat same steps for other door.
Reprogramming is also described in the owners manual. I don't know how mine became deprogrammed, should only happen if the battery is disconnected!

Friend, your situation could be taking place on ANY vehicle, not just the Jag. Anytime this type of thing happens, no matter what it happens to be, ALWAYS go directly to the ground. Check ALL your ground connections on every ground wire you can find, and the ones you can't find, under the dash that are held to the firewall and any metal braces by a simple little screw that could be loose. I find this stuff is a LOT like connecting a trailer to a vehicle for the lights. Sure it's wired properly, you know what your doing!!! Then you check and tighten the ground wires between the vehicle and trailer and it now works. ALWAYS go directly to the ground connections. That's normal procedure. If it still doesn't work, get out the test light and start checking for power. But then your not doing trailer lighting. Get yourself a wiring diagram and check it closely.

The most likely root cause of the problem has been determined, and its step by step fix is also detailed if you have the skills to do that yourself. He describes what goes wrong in the $2800 ABS control electronic board, and that simply re-soldering a few heavy wires to the board will fix the trouble. But it requires some mechanical work to get that module out, and then some more work to saw the plastic case apart to get to that circuit board. - Best regards - MHH
Cold morning driver door lock freeze
make sure the door handle on the outside has returned to normal position, sometimes the cold will make them stick. The door opens but the outside handle sticks open and the door won't latch. Hope this helps.
