Check that the earth cable from the battery to the car body has a good conection, these are very prone to tearing away from the body. ensure the connections are tight on the battery and on the car body, there is also a second main earth from the gearbox mount.

DRAIN TUBE BOTTOM OF THE EVAPORATOR AND HEATER CORE HOUSING IT DRAINS OUT UNDER VECHICLE LOWER BACK FIREWALL.IF YOU LOCATE DRAIN HOLE UNDER VECHICLE.A NEW TRICK WILL WORK USE A SHOPVAC TAPING SMALL HOSE TO IT TO VACUUM OUT ROAD DEBRIS. FROM DRAIN HOLE.YOU DONT WANT TO TAKE OUT HEATER CORE ASSEMBLY TO CLEAN DRAIN TUBE.THATS WHY USE SHOP VAC.

It seems strange that the car stalls in periods. I think the possible areas to check are:
1. Check if the fuel was good that was loaded , any impurities or water.
2. If there is air lock this can happen . So after fitting the new pump does it take in air from a loose joint of the new fuel line you have put in or the joint at the tank..
3. Check the new pump by itseld , being new can also be faulty to give problems so maybe a check up /calibration
the fault seems evident to be a fuel block.

The most common cause is the window lift mechanism, this usually requires replacement

you will just need to order a new back seal door, they juts slide in and out. it is not that hard to do. Good luck Tim

Look in your owner's manual. It should explain how to enter the code and tell you where to find it. It should be in the manual but perhaps not. Hope this helps.

Suggests a problem with the Automatic Gear box ECU, or X/Y selector switch. Can also be water in the connector as it joins the gearbox, or someone's knocked the ECU which is under the passenger seat (RHD).
Sometimes this can be cleared by stopping, turning off the ignition, and starting again and it's fine. It's alerting you that it is in 'Limp Home' mode (3)

Unfortunatley, there is no transmission dipstick on the Discovery II's. There is a fill plug underneath on the front of the transmission pan. Pull that and let it come out to a small stream of fluid. Put theplug back in and go drive it. Use a infared laser thermometer to check the transmission pan temperature, needs to be around 190 degrees. Them pull the fill plug back off and top off the fluid level. Hope this helps.

For starters, a cheap in expensive thing I would try is put a external 8mm internal diameter star washer (from a local sorce) on the main battery cable at the starter. The star washer sits against the starterm then the cable, lock washer and nut. I saw a lot of this working for a land rover dealer. If that doesn't fix it, check your fuel pressure at the schrader valve above the coil pack ( against the fire wall at the rear of the engine) should be around 55-60 psi. if that is good, check for spark. If you don't have spark, you could have bad coils, spark plugs, plug wires, cam sensor or crank sensor. If you don't have fuel pressure, replace the fuel pump and fuel pump relay (I always do them in pairs). Hope this helps.

Inspect tires, brake (pads,calipers,discs, lines) exhaust system and heat shields, steering (rods,joints,dust covers,) shocks,supension links and mountings, wheel speed sensors,and height sensor wiring, fuel and hydraulic lines,
Service SLS filter (if equipped)

Land Rover Recommends Air Bag and seat belt pretensioner replacement at 10 years. Now I do not know anyone who will abide by this as the replacement costs can be as much as $4000.00

You have to probably remove the rear seat to get to the bolts and basically just remove bolts, replace seat belt and reinsert bolts and tighten.

usually fitted under front passenger seat(cassette facing backwards)if fitted at all, not standard in all markets/years.

Bring it back to the repair shop that did the initial repair and have them complete this repair. There is something wrong. They have to reinspect their work and check the ECU for loose wiring and determine whether you need a new ECU.

Congratulations on owning a fine machine when it runs right. Here are two ways to help that.
1 - replace the fuel filter unless you have done so since your last fill up. Double check that you are not getting moisture in your fuel. ALSO - pour one quart of 91% alcohol directly into your fuel tank. Use a funnel if need be. This will help remove any moisture. Moisture in modern fuel filters will shut them down and make them need replacement quickly.
2- Make sure your plug wires are working and installed tightly as well as making sure your vehicle isn't involved in a recall.
Please take down your VIN # - and call the local dealer ask about any RECALLS. This alone can save you thousands of dollars over the lifetime of the vehicle. Check every 6 months and get on the mailing list. You do not need to be the original purchaser at all.
