I was in an accident

First of all; sorry that you were in a wreck. I know that sucks. Been there, done that. As far as getting the hood to come open; have you checked the hood latches that keep the hood nearly firmly in place? Sometimes loosening these latches can help get a hood to pop open. As far as the front bumper goes; there are also brackets that hold the bumpers to your vehicle. If you can find a way to locate and loosen these brackets; then it should come off. As far as the radiator replacement goes; that's another ball game and beyond my limited knowledge about vehicles. Hope this helps.

  1. Please note the list of automobile manufacturers at the left edge of the screen. The currently selected ODB code is for the Volvo family of autos. The codes for any particular vehicle make and model will be found under the manufacturer family, i.e. Dodge and Plymouth are part of the Chrysler family of cars and trucks.
  2. Also notice that just to the right of the manufacturer family list is a short group of OBD II codes. The highlighted Volvo OBDII code P1358 in this list is the currently selected code, and the information on this page pertains to fault code P1358. The other codes in the list above and below this code are OBD2 codes some of which may be related to the current trouble code and can be navigated to directly.
  3. Need to look up additional OBD II Trouble Codes, use the search box. Enter the 5 character fault codes in the search box and submit the search. You can repeat the search as many times as you need, one diagnostics code per search.
  4. Don't assume a particular OBD2 code means the same for other auto manufacturers as there are many manufacturer specific codes in use.
  5. If your fault codes are for a different auto family, select that vehicle series before searching for the diagnostics codes because not all OBD2 codes used by one manufacture are used by the other manufactures. The search only looks at OBD codes valid for the currently selected manufacturer family.
  6. If your automotive family is grayed out, the current OBD code, P1358, is not among those used by the current manufacturer. You can click un-gray at the bottom of the auto family list and then select the manufacturer for your vehicle before searching for your trouble codes.

Why my 2000 s/70 volvo temperture hand goes to hot when driving i change the radator now this my problem

Rodney, first thing I can think of, the coolant system has an air lock in it. when changing a radiator now a days, the coolant system has to be bled properly for a successful install. Other than bleeding for air, you may have a faulty plugged core radiator. You did plug your fans back in right. links below on how to bleed air from cooling system. Steam coming out from under the hood near the fan?

Did the vehicle overheat? Steam is indicative of overpressure. This could be caused from a stuck thermostat or a blown head gasket. Do this with vehicle all the way cool take the radiator cap off. Start it and if any blows out of the radiator the head gasket is blown . If nothing comes out and it's full stick your finger in the fluid. If it gets where it's too hot to touch in a couple of minutes , that also indicates a blown head gasket as exhaust gasses escape into the coolant.

How do I fix or replace a fuel line?

Hi Merre: Sure, blame the kid. Easiest fix would be to cut out the section where the hole is and install a piece of flexible tubing. CAUTION! Gas is extremely flammable. Use appropriate tools (NOT a Zip Cutter). Best fix would be to replace fuel line. I'd suggest that youcheck with a parts supply to see if appropriate gas lines are available. You may need to use a flaring tool if you have to "custom build" the line. It's OK kid, the cars is 15 years old and the line was probably rusted. Cheers.

Try the switch on the pass side door. Otherwise you need to remove the drivers door panel, access the switch, print a wiring diagram and jump power to the window motor with a jumper wire.

When the motor is running cold the headlights don't come on and turn signals don't work until the car has been run for some time. rear window deicer also doesnt work and the seat heaters.

Check for a bad ground on the engine block. You should see some black wires in various spots on the engine. unbolt them and clean the connections and bolt them back to the engine. Make sure the connection loops are in good condition. If you see corrosion, then get new loops and cut back the wires. If you have to cut them back further than they reach, Get some wire that is the same gauge and solder and tape them and attach a new loop. Also check for any ground cables or braids from the engine to the body. Make sure they are in good condition and have a good connection. Also check the connections on the battery.

Check battery. Clean battery terminals to shiny metal both post and clamp. Check water level fill with Distilled water if too low. You may have some bad connections at alternator. Auto parts may help you check battery and alternator. How are the belts to the alternator? Last time serviced?
