2000 honda accord, middle brake light comes on when actuating the brake peddle but left and right brake light don't illuminate. fuses are good and O feel switch is good otherwise middle rear light wouldn't come on. any suggestions?

P0740 Honda - Transmission Lock-Up Control System Fault Possible causes - Low transmission fluid level - Dirty transmission fluid - Faulty torque converter clutch solenoid valve - Torque converter clutch solenoid valve harness is open or shorted - Torque converter clutch solenoid valve circuit poor electrical connection Tech notes On some Honda vehicles the P0740 code may be set by an overheating torque converter problem which is caused by an insufficient flow to the torque converter release circuit. P0740 Honda Description The torque converter clutch solenoid valve is activated, with the gear in D4, by the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in response to signals sent from the vehicle speed and the Engine Control Module (ECM). Lock-up piston operation will then be controlled. When the torque converter clutch solenoid valve is activated, the torque converter lockup clutch will engage creating a 1 to 1 RPM ratio between the transmission input shaft and the rotational speed of the torque converter. Lock-up operation, however, is prohibited when A/T fluid temperature is too low. When the accelerator pedal is depressed (less than 2/8) in lock-up condition, the engine speed should not change abruptly. If there is a big jump in engine speed, there is no lock-up.

because its a 2002 chevy blazer and they arent fast vehicles... seriously need more info to try and help, anything done/happen to it right before the problem stopped? what engine/transmission is in it? etc...

There should be a hole in the firewall that will let you route this drain so it drains outside your car.

hi there is a fuse for brake lights and a switch on the upper part of the brake pedal if no power at the switch means the fuse if power its a bad switch inexpensive autoparts available danny

Push 1 and 6 push bouton and than radio on write the two code that will appear, tell the part guy at Honda dealer your code you find, he give you the code to unlock your radio, enter the code with pushbouton Please note code for next time you disconnect the battery

You should also check that the front windshield is sealed tight around the frame at times roost could have eaten away the metal under the Rubber seal this was the cause at one of my cars. John

Bad crank position sensor. This sensor tells the vehicles computer when to fire spark plug could also be a be a bad coil pack mount plate or knock sensor you really need an active scan toal to assess the computer while running also if its a dual overhead cam motor timing belt/chain could be out of spec

Are you sure the brake pedal switch is properly adjusted? You should be able to reach under the pedal with your finger and activate the brake lamp switch. There are two relays in the rear of the car by the brake lights which activate (you can hear them click) when the pedal/switch is depressed. Make sure you also have the correct lamps specified in the owners manual. Usually if the bulbs are no good you will get an indication on the instrument cluster.

Does it move at all up and down? These mirrors commonly get stuck from not being moved very often. Use your hand to force it up and down. (it will make a grinding noise, no worries, it doesn't hurt the mirror.) Try it again. If it still won't move. Check the other side. if it does the same thing, the master switch is burned out. Otherwise you may need a new motor. (Yes, motor, not the whole mirror. They are available separately) Or just pick up a good used one. Good luck.
