Shift lock solenoid could be the problem , or brake light switch ,or shift lock relay . Your vehicle has a safety system known as shift lock or interlock , what ever suzuki calls it . It will not allow the shifter to move from park to any gear unless drivers foot is pushing the brake pedal . You can view wiring diagram here at http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model and engine size .Then under system click on transmission / transaxle . Then under subsystem click on transmission controls , hit the search button , the click first blue link . At the top of the diagram an on the right side you will see shift lock relay ,Then down near the bottom on the left side you will see the shift lock solenoid . You could test these with a volt meter ,do you have an know how to do that ? Where is your shifter ? on the floor or on the steering column ? You will need to disassemble parts of your vehicle to get at these parts .So check the relay first , do you have a owners manual ? Should tell you the location in there .

NO PROBLEM, TOLD AT ALL(WOW)? door locks dead or ignition key dead, NOT TOLD. LOST THE 2ND KEY(DAY1, NEW CAR HAD)? DOOR LOCKS DEAD.(CLICK FOB) BATTERY IN FOB DEAD.? learn that many cars USA this is covered in the manual but DIY takes 2 good keys to make a 3 or more. but in CANada THIS IS NOT ALLOWED THERE BY LAW. have you check all the fuses front engine bay and under dash in side the car can be driver side or passenger side google it some will let you know the location of the fuses if not some time it the bcm or fuses

i had the same problem, only option is garage to re set it when they give it diagnostic check. fixed mine but!!!!!!! they said i had a slight coolant leek half hour later head gasket went!!!. had it fixed now, black smoke every were and no power. think i opend a can of worms should have just sold the dam thing.

If you car does while driving that makes me guess a fuel supply issue or over heating. You may also have a bad sensor telling the computer to shut down to save the engine from damage. If you don't know much about car repairs. It may be time to take it in for a tune up or do it yourself. Inspect the air cleaner and pipes for cloggs or air pipes for cracks. Check vacuum hoses for damage. Could be many things leading to what might be a simple fix. If it's the fuel pump that will be alot more expensive to fix. Change the fuel filter also if the pump is bad if it's not been done.

check your radiador fluid your fan also might not be working eficiently might be good to put some radiador fluid

your power relay supplying the glow plugs may be stuck(welded contacts)on and need replace

ok its just an electric dc motor. what can cause no up, failure. 1: not getting full 12vdc to motor,.(uses a $10 voltmeter to not guess) if why low, then the power feed is bad there. say below 10v. keep in mind motor overloads can cause V drop,.(V= I square x R, ohms law) 2: guides bad overloading the motor.s 3: if the hot wiring the motor does not move it up that means. what,? motor bad, or guide jammed. (reverse wires to go up, reverse to go down, 12vd on one wire, ground the other. 2 pins. so we remove motor and operate it by hand to see if guides are ok,. (not hands on motor but its guide drive end) 4: later years, they added a child proof clutch to prevent johnny from crushing suzy head for fun. really. and clutches do fail and slip, you'd hear it slip, I cant. or if the guide is jammed said clutch slips and thinks bad johnny deal. i think yours has no clutch. in 2000. my 04 did not. it's just motor , a switch and a guide. many this old are bad guides. jammed. up.

Brake shoes/pads worn out. Replace now. Be careful dangerous situation

Search on google 2000 suzuki grand vitara drive cycle. This will reset all monitors unless there is a problem.

I would think the blower motor is defective, the brushes are worn out and that explains the intermittent operation.

asked 2 times, this hunt the ckp is lower right side of the front engine chain cover. the cmp is left rear cam. now answered vast times. i answered your other post with real photos. of them. in the USA< are you? drivers side is left passenger is right. in UK ?opposite.
